Mitch Spinelli and screenwriter L. S. Talbot attempted a comedic look at sex among the survivors of a nuclear holocaust in "The Living End", a very weak and typical example of shoddy VHS porn during the early '90s.
It's set late in the 20th Century, with Jonathan Morgan setting the light (to the point of ridiculous) tone as dialog tries to be as silly as possible. Morgan makes a reference comparing himself to Mel Gibson, and when a pair of young fiances whose impending marriage was halted due to nuclear war breaking out, Morgan marries them, and all three spout dumb "Star Trek" references (to the original series) that are as unfunny as the rest of the show.
It's all meant to mock not science fiction movies but rather porn movies. Early on, screenwriter L. S. Talbot interrupts the action playing the movie's director by popping up in the scene to tell the actors to get on with the sex content; he presages here the all-sex revolution in porn that has taken over a couple of decades or so after this clunker was shot. He also intercedes near the end of the movie by announcing that a climax scene of a giant spider monster attacking and killing most of the cast has been dropped from the scirpt: instead the finale threesome of Tiffany Million, Leena and Morgan having sex on a couch is shot to cheaply wrap things up.
Result is one of innumerable videos of this period where the cast of sex workers is likely having more fun than the audience. It's a waste of several top stars like Tiffany Mynx, Tiffany Million and Rebecca Bardoux (who pops up as a nympho stripper who has anal sex (the only use of a condom in the movie) with ventriloquist Joey Silvera).
