Occasionally an actor becomes wholly identified with a character he played - it takes a real talent, like Hal Holbrook escaping the spectre of his fabulous Mark Twain creation, to avoid typecasting. In this instance. Juliet Anderson IS "Aunt Peg", and the fans are grateful.
This eponymous film is just a routine chance to cash in on her popularity, almost in the vein of those INSIDE spotlight movies briefly popular in the '70s. It has a great director (Anthony Spinelli) in charge and an all-star cast, but doesn't add up to much.
Original MILF Anderson was already well-known by the time her Aunt Peg character began appearing in movies, because she had mimed the role in innumerable Swedish Erotica short subjects and magazine layouts, always clad in stockings and garter belt with the pastel SE scarf around her neck (a la Seka). Seka appears uncredited in this opus, and Serena amplifies that marquee bait alongside male icons John Holmes and Jamie Gillis.
Aunt Peg is a Hollywood filmmaker in this film and its sequels, providing a convenient hook for the sex scenes. The usual clichés are trotted out: Holmes is humping in the opening scene, shooting a movie directed by Aunt Peg. Her assistant is played by Mike Horner, soon to become porn's leading (and most prolific) character actor into the Video era. After his acted sex, Holmes gets to hump the director, and Peg is more than willing. She next humps Horner, who delivers two money shots.
At home Sharon Kane shows up as her niece, and we get voyeurism added to the mix. Kane is looking for her daddy (Michael Morrison) and we're treated to a sex scene of Peg with her brother-in-law (Morrison).
Then there's sex for Kane with her boyfriend David Morris and a flashback of Peg in a Swedish Erotica loop opposite Billy Dee for a mixed-combo threesome.
Touching all bases she has a lesbian scene, plus a masturbation episode thinking about her past exploits. Sitting in her pool, she gets a phone call from a director named Franco in Rome (must be Franco Zeffirelli) who's anxious to see one of her movies.
Franco turns out to be Jamie Gillis, anxious to hire Peg to direct a movie for him. Seka is to star, known as Sweet Alice (a name that would later be used as a movie title for real for her), and they audition the blonde, cuing another threesome.
Back to reality, Peg has another assistant, with Serena cast as her secretary. Mike Ranger reads for a part and Peg seduces him on her casting couch, a nice switch on the genders. No surprise as Serena joins in for yet another threesome.
Niece Kane is only supposed to be 16 here, but she and Peg have incestuous underage sex in the back of the limo. Film's non-ending has them caressing each other in the back seat.
Basically a porn film to lull the audience with a parade of stars humping away in familiar manner - it would have been an MGM picture in a parallel world wherein the Hollywood studios were releasing XXX product.
