Unfortunately I watched this movie without reading the reviews first, just from the description which sounded interesting. I am a very forgiving viewer and I often give 10 stars if I enjoy the movie and when it sort of lives up to its description. This could have been a decent movie if the story made any sense but as one of the critic reviews says: "What this all boils down to is that "In the Arms of a Killer" is a movie for those who are fans of Jaclyn Smith or the late John Spencer. But it isn't for those who enjoy detective movies as it is simply too contrived and convoluted for its own good." In fact the world "convoluted" is the first word that came to my mind after I finished watching this terrible movie. Another critic calls it: "Jaclyn Smith's Absurd Detective Film" The only redeeming quality of this movie is that it was shot on film for TV, so the image quality is extremely clear and sharp compared to so many movies which were shot on NTSC video back in the 90's. But the quality doesn't make up for the silly story which makes no sense and some of the ridiculous scenes, such as the ridiculous slow motion love scenes, which seemed out of place and in bad taste. How did the writers come up with such a nutty and confusing tale is the real mystery here. So sorry I wasted my evening on this one. Heck even the title itself is a lie! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
