In the book "Filmen i Sverige/ The Film in Sweden", critic Leif Furhammar writes: "Alf Sjöberg got to make the movie "Sista paret ut/ The Last Couple to go" at SF, Svensk Filmindustri, in 1956, mainly because the script was written by Ingmar Bergman and had some similarities with the Sjöberg-Bergman's success, "Hets/Torment" (1944). "Sista paret ut" was a commercial flop and failure and a failure to most critics."

More teenage angst

The Ingmar Bergman trademark story about teenage frustration and marital problems. Good acting though, especially by supporting actors like Hugo Björne as the high school tutor and Jan-Olof Strandberg as Claes.
