Sex Whisperer

Bud Lee departs from the standard porn structure of a series of individual sex scenes, to create a more cinematic whole in "Sex Whisperer", unrelated to the Redford classic except in its take-off on the name.

Evan Stone is cast in the title role, something of a fantasy character who literally intercedes magically to make suggestions to each of the heroines that may prove useful in broadening their sex lives. The entire cast is introduced in a series of scenes that start up as sex vignettes but end abruptly in the opening reel or so.

Lee then comes back to the couples so introduced after the heroines get together at Syren's home to be introduced formally to Stone and each have their erotic fantasies materialize, as they seemingly go into a daydream. This mystical approach is a bit tricky to pull off, but I stuck with Lee and was surprised at how well he accomplishes it. (No screenplay is listed, but perhaps this is the work of his usual scripter, George Kaplan.)

The actual sex scenes are very well performed by the likes of busty Lisa Ann and Brooke Haven, as well as talented import Rita Faltoyano. Stone of course gets his own sex action going, and the wonderful Syren is cooly sexy in the central role. One unfortunate credits omission has Syren's mysterious Asian assistant named Jocelyn involved in a lesbian scene but not listed at all in either opening or end credits.
