Behind the Mask

Two rather different episodes from Bree Mills' "Pure Taboo" vault comprise this DVD, issued under the title of the shorter one "Behind the Mask".

Melissa Moore has a sort of one woman-show, porn's latest answer to Jean Cocteau's old standby "The Human Voice". She's a young beauty, plagued by constant obscene phone calls, the ones where the pervert on the other hand sticks to strictly heavy breathing rather than threatening dialog.

She eventually surmises that it's her prankster boyfriend, and goes along with the audio gag, masturbating as she listens to the inhaling & exhaling sounds. But a masked (actually hooded, but that would spoil the catchy title) intruder breaks in and rapes her one night, and she assumes it's that boyfriend going the full nine yards in his joke.

This strong depiction of rape on screen, unusual in modern porn (hence the Pure Taboo status) is impressive, as Derrick Pierce as the hooded guy face-f*cks Moore endlessly, as if the duo were out to get a Deep Throat accolade in the Guinness Book of World Records. Moore has definitely arrived as an Adult performer.

Lasting a full hour, the supporting program "Divorce Bait" has a number of faults, essaying a familiar husband vs. wife potential divorce situation where infidelity is the central gimmick.

Porn actor/musician Dick Chibbles has the NonSex role as Penny Pax's husband, plotting against his better half with stud-for-hire Karlo Karrera to entrap her in cheating on him. Karrera poses as a repairman hired by Chibbles, and Pax easily falls into the trap, opening up her blouse and enticing him as he tries to do his work in her home.

Karlo reveals the mean-spirited plan to her rather chivalrously, and after she gets over her anger, Pax devises a plan of her own. KK bonks Chibbles over the head when he returns home, and soon he's in bondage, forced to watch Pax hump Karlo in the very typical Cuckold porn genre staging.

Mills (and co-director/cameraman Craven Moorehead) have some elegant twists in the story, but it's mainly a showcase for Pax to trot out her well-known acting chops, staying in character throughout as she simultaneously gives us IR content servicing KK's BBD while hurling nasty epithets sarcastically at tied & gagged hubby.
