Blood Sisters

Vic Lagina strikes again, taking this serviceable crime-story vehicle for Latina actresses and dulling it down to a series of overlong sex scenes. No Scarface ripoff for him.

Ariella Ferrera is huge up front as the leading femme fatale, married to the unlikely Mayor (of some fantasy Los Angeles or Chatsworth for that matter) played by Ramon Nomar. Plot concerns a revenge-seeking criminal overplayed as usual by Toni Ribas (who starred in a similar junker for the same label Digital Playground titled "Bullet 2 the Top" that was more obviously a Scarface wannabe), who kidnaps the mayor's daughters Gina Valentina and a miscast Luna Star (way too old for a teeniebopper role).

Violent action scenes are very poorly staged by director Lagina, and further ruined by crummy visual effects to simulate blood packs and machine gun muzzle flares. The sex is ruined by lousy photography, with a big set-piece of Ribas humping Ferrera by her bathtub shot with a camera far from the action and with almost no editing or 2nd camera reverse shots (total dullsville).

Anal specialist of yore Kristina Rose does her backdoor thing with Tony Martinez, as she is cast as a vigilante girl recruited by Ribas for his oddly all-girl squad of henchwomen. NonSex actors get no credit, but I was able to easily idenify the striking Daisy Ducati as one of the henchwomen who gets offed before permitted to earn extra bucks humping away for the camera. Another very lovely beauty has a scene dining in a restaurant with philandering Nomar but remains unidentified.

Wasting big-name talent, Mercedes Carrera and Vicki Chase show up in fetish maid outfits as part of femme fatale Ferrera's plot against her husband, and have a ridiculous sex scene with Nomar after a clumsy shootout. The shootout is hinted at in a dumb flash-forward that begins the show, causing most of the action to unfold in one long "One Day Earlier" flashback.

When all the ruckus dies down, and the body count has peaked, Lagina includes an extraneous but undoubtedly crowd-pleasing sex scene for Gina Valentina and Martinez.
