Having the beautiful models as "bad hats" in this Penthouse release is a good idea, as it departs from the mindless nothingness that characterizes most of the dozens of recent filler-DVDs released by the once mighty label. But with hack Hoffman at the helm, it's not very good anyway.
The five vignettes have scheming or downright mean-spirited femmes in the leading roles - a ploy that should have carried this video to the finish line. What was needed was a talented helmer, say a Bud Lee or Paul Thomas, not Hank.
Luna Star is breast in show as a secretary who shows up in arresting fetish-gear to seduce her boss after hours. This vignette cried out for a socko twist or two in the story, but Big Hank settled for sex -his mandate.
Gracie Glam was porn's best young actress about six or seven years back, but her career has devolved into gonzo, a shame since this was a dramatic role for her. Her segment includes a NonSex cameo by Casey Calvert and was a promising lead-off vignette.
But some of the footage is just ridiculous. Michael Vegas stars in a particularly stupid scene involving car trouble and car theft that is poorly staged, has a crummy set, and is badly directed to boot. It's the final scene of the show and has such a lousy ending that it reflects badly (due to that sequencing) on the entire DVD.
