Take 2 is a 10/10 for sure, especially considering that its a local film with a relatively tight budget. Family friendly and an eye opener, take 2 is sure to take you on an emotional rollercoaster throughout the film. A good mix of drama and comedy, i feel that Jack Neo very successfully mixed in a good amount oh humour to make a serious issue seem more light hearted and entertaining.
The movie also shines light on an issue that is highly prevalent here in Singapore, as well as around the world: discrimination of ex-convicts. The movie really allows viewers to put themselves in the shoes of these struggling ex-convicts and feel for them. The movie shows all the different struggles they go through and the injustice they face. As someone who was quite ignorant on this problem, I feel the film was quite educational and insightful.
Take 2 is a humorous film made with good intentions and i would recommend it to anyone. Old or young, singaporean or foreigner, ex convict or not, I guarantee this film will give you a good laugh.
