This is a movie classic that you will want to watch every year over and over again.
A young nurse, Hanna (Candace Cameron Bure), lost her husband in WWII and gets caught in a storm at the same time a famous comet passes by overhead. She goes into a barn and bumps her head and passes out. Next, she awakens and finds herself in 2016.
She finds herself in her town which has totally changed and is picked up by the local police, Jake (Oliver Hudson) and Sarah (Brooke Nevin). Jake finds her story unbelievable but also finds evidence that she may actually have lived in 1945. Sarah is much more skeptical and thinks she is a con. Jake takes her home and she meets his family.
Hanna is initially upset at being in unfamiliar territory, but eventually becomes resigned. She has memories of what the town used to look like and traditions which occurred, which have been lost. It's fascinating how she points out clothes and dishes like the ones she knew in 1945.
And you'll have to watch it to see what happens.
This is a great movie about traditions that have been lost and found again. Heartwarming with excellent cast. Add this to your Must See list of Holiday movies.
