Dana Vespoli is one of my favorite directors, mainstream or Adult, and she juggles several career paths effortlessly: gonzo actress of uninhibited fame; solid craftsman as director for Sweetheart and other labels; and rule-breaker avant garde director for Evil Angel, where the money is. This Evil Angel release represents her ongoing challenging of barriers and stereotypes and while laudable for intent it comes up as wanting in entertainment value.

Adapting the old saw about "if I wanted a message you should have sent me a telegram", I feel the same way about both this and its predecessor. One of that feature's vignettes was nominated for "Best Safe Sex Scene" -reflective of how nonsensical the industry's awards are -Manuel Ferrara wore a condom on his dick so let's create a category to cover it.

For Part 2, it is clear from the BTS that the feature is a stalking horse for one particular scene, the introduction of Buck Angel (a trans-male) to a general Adult audience. It is an icon in the Gay community, a unique individual who would be categorized as F2M though the whole pigeon-holing process is what Dana is thankfully fighting against. Viewers will also react on an individual basis to the sight of enthusiastic sex by Buck with Valentina Nappi, the Italian actress who is increasingly taking center stage in adventurous assignments.

Point is that Buck, its trendy tattoos aside, presents itself (clothed) as masculine but the transition from woman to man as far as gender identity is the obverse of the far more common transsexual population of "chicks with dicks". Porn fans are used to this group, quite popular in videos made by Joey Silvera and Nica Noelle as well as a plethora of insulting product from White Ghetto, Third World Media, Trans 500 and other bottom-feeding labels.

The actual sex scene shows Buck's extended clitoris, fixated upon with gusto by oral-oriented Nappi, and more surprising than sexy. It quickly declares "I don't want to come yet!" at the outset, confusing Nappi who after all is used to multiple orgasms. So it appears that Buck no longer identifies with the female orgasm, but its reaction more akin to a man's fear of premature ejaculation lacks a dick to back it up..

After this episode, the other 3 gender-bending vignettes are relatively tame. Vespoli throws herself into the mix taking on another tattooed fellow, Markus Dupree, who I had previously seen in assembly-line incest porn from Digital Sin. Both performers are wearing heavy face makeup which looks like a cross between tribal markings and whiteface, not at the stylized level of a geisha for example. I missed the point of this vignette, as we have heterosexual humping of the most mechanical, stone-faced nature.

Vespoli had previously starred Venus Lux in the auteur's only foray into the TS genre with "TS, I Love You", and Venus is back, big dick and all, in a glamorous but cool lesbian-sort of encounter with lesbian icon Sovereign Syre, Vespoli's ultimate go-to actress. Their beauty made this a stimulating episode, condom and all, but it staked no new ground in the trans-female porn arena.

Finale is an inept segment, included for release though I would have rejected it as defective. Technical issue is sound distortion by poor recording of a heavy wind, as butch icon Jiz Lee (previously starring in "Girl/Boy" opposite Manuel Ferrara) drives along the highway and picks up a tall, cross-dressing fellow Ruckus. I had seen Ruckus in Courtney Trouble's avant garde videos, and here he just humps Jiz (with condom) on the roof of her car, merely waving goodbye at the end of a nothing XXX scene. So she's butch and he wears a dress - b.f.d. Perhaps had Dana ordered Jiz to do some heavy pegging on Ruckus's behind, this scene would have played.

I'm afraid the good intentions of Dana with this series will backfire. The gonzo- addicted fans of her and Johnny Stag's Evil Angel label, reportedly the most successful porn company currently operating, will likely just look at this feature as an exercise in oddness rather than a liberating experience. By conforming to the gonzo world's rules of content, i.e., wall-to-wall sex, Dana has produced a video that could easily be reissued as a random junker titled "Clits, Cocks, Condoms and Tattoos".
