The Invitation

Great minds think alike apparently, as two porn films made simultaneously on two continents, covering the same subject matter, were released in 2015 with the same exact title.

The other one is from Penthouse, directed by Brit ex-pat Marcus London while this one was made in Britain by JoyBear Films. Both done in pantomime style, they have a similar low-key impact.

Both films involve an invitation-only party-cum-orgy in which everyone wears a mask. That is an old porn format, probably best used in the Private label made-in- Frisco salute to kink.com titled "An Open Invitation".

Sienna Day and Max Deeds star as a couple who inadvertently get a second-hand invite to said party from their friends, swingers Ryan Ryder and Amber Nevada, who despite her stage name is an actress hailing from Spain, who frequently stars for JoyBear.

It's an uneventful feature, an excuse for five sex scenes, with the story carried by Elle Corneiius' voice-over narration. The femme lineup, including a favorite of mine, breast in show Emma Leigh, is diverting. Unfortunately a key player whose character is confusingly named Emma (Leigh is called Georgina in the script) goes uncredited, probably because she is involved only in a softcore interlude and not in the XXX content.
