Most people don't know that talented, crafty director Shilpi Chakraborthy actually was the main director and carried most of the direction, but didn't want to take actual credit for the film. The producers and other crew didn't like the film's first edition. Shilpi Chakraborthy and his other associates did the second edit that is the current film version cut, which overwhelmingly pleased the makers. 'Shopner Thikana' still remains the second-most all-time grossing film of Bangladeshi cinema history.
At least 2-3 years this movie was ruled 95% cimema hall's in Bangladesh. Many peoples even watched 10-15 time in fitst month after it's released.
