Jocelyn JC Zhao is an emerging filmmaker and producer in Asian cinema, currently based in Los Angeles. She masterfully weaves traditional Asian elements into contemporary storytelling, creating narratives with global resonance. Jocelyn's films have gained international recognition, with Mare Immensus (2023), where she served as Producer/Director, winning Best Experimental Short at the Emerging Talent Film Festival and receiving selections at the Marina Del Rey Film Festival, Silicon Beach Film Festival, and SoCal Film Awards. The film was also a finalist for Best Short at the Los Angeles International Film Festival and earned Jocelyn the title of Best Female Filmmaker at The Indie FEST Film Awards.
Her production credits include Xing (2023), where she was honored as a Best Producer semi-finalist at the Oniros Film Awards New York. The film also secured official selections at the Madison Film Festival, Persian Experimental Short Film Festival, and Experimental Film Guanajuato.
