Rhett S. Butler

Rhett grew up with his parents (Ansella and Victor Butler) who were avid readers and lovers of music and movies, hence his name. His first interest in storytelling was a result of seeing a feature on the making of Star Wars as a youngster, and drawing his own comic books of various genres. This combined with night time stories from his mother and books his father read would later further influence his passion for making movies.

Both parents would normally take him to the movies; however, Sunday night triple bills with his brothers at the Palace Amusement's Odeon Cinema in Kingston, Jamaica was a weekly treat. This was where he had the opportunity to experience not only North American films, but those from Asia including the renowned Shaw Brothers Studio.

Rhett is an engineering graduate of Florida State College in Jacksonville (Formerly FCCJ), BSc Operations (University of the West Indies, Jamaica), MSc Insurance & Risk Management (MIB, Italy) and Supply Chain, Humber College (Canada).

Nefarious is Rhett's first feature film, which he hopes will be the gateway to unleashing the plethora of dark and wonderful stories he has to tell.
