Avery Bagenstos is a dynamic artist and actor who has captivated audiences from the heart of Oklahoma to the bustling stages of New York and the vibrant film sets of Los Angeles. With a foundation built on performances in classic works like Alfred Hitchcock's *The 39 Steps* and John Steinbeck's *Of Mice and Men* during his formative years in Cherokee, Oklahoma, Avery balanced a dual life as both a celebrated athlete and an emerging performer.
After high school, Avery pursued his passion for the stage, earning accolades including the Best Actor award at NYC's Midtown International Theater Festival in 2017 for his role in the original play *Locker Room Talk*. His portrayal of characters in Shakespeare's *Twelfth Night* at NYU further cemented his reputation as a versatile and compelling actor.
Since relocating to Los Angeles, Avery has worked alongside some of Hollywood's biggest names. He made his mark in Hulu's *Into the Dark* Anthology Series in 2018 and continued to rise with performances in Netflix's *Moxie* alongside Amy Poehler, Marcia Gay Harden, and Patrick Schwarzenegger. Most recently, Avery appeared in Apple TV's highly anticipated pilot episode of *Sugar*, starring Colin Farrell.
A dedicated student of the craft, Avery combines Meisner and Strasberg techniques with a unique, Jungian-inspired approach to character development. His commitment to his roles is further enhanced by his dedication to martial arts, trail running, and painting all of which inform the physical and emotional depth he brings to each performance.
Now stepping into the lead role in his latest project The Rattlin' Bog (2025), Avery continues to push the boundaries of his art, delivering performances that are as intense as they are nuanced.
