Michal A. Zielinski

Raised in Skierniewice, lives in Warsaw. Long-time journalist/editor turned scriptwriter in 2019. Awarded ZAiKS Society of Authors Special Prize at Script Pro 2020 for Kos/Scarborn. He was the 'Culture Online 2020' for creators scholarship holder (The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage). Won EastSeries pitching at Odesa International Film Festival 2020 for the premium series project 'Black Friday' (in development). Created (as a writer and co-producer) a short movie about 18th century colonel Berek Joselovich/Joselewicz, leader of the first officially recognized Jewish military unit since ancient Maccabees. He was qualified for the renowned polish scriptwriting development program "Scriptwriting Atelier" 2018 (Atelier Scenariuszowe). Before screenwriting U-turn worked for e.g. 'Rzeczpospolita' daily as a journalist, 'Gazeta Wyborcza' daily as a business section editor, and 'Polityka Insight' (political analysis and business intelligence). Co-author of the "Artificial Intelligence in polish economy" report with Microsoft. He's been writing magazine features, e.g., miner's clashes, pick-up trainers, and challenged people.
