Laurel Bailey is a Vancouver, BC actor known mostly for her work on stage in the Vancouver area and in London (UK).
Laurel has lived in Hong Kong, Taipei, Boulder (Colorado), Los Angeles (California), London (UK), Kochi (India) and Vancouver (Canada) and continues to travel extensively. Outside of acting, Laurel and her husband, Rob, are foodies who love to explore the foods of other cultures and drag their 2 boys to food markets and out-of-the-way dining experiences.
While living in London, Laurel co-created a theatre company (as Laurel Grey) dedicated to new Canadian plays called CanadianPhoenix. As co-Artistic Director, she was responsible for finding new plays by Canadian playwrights, often having them workshopped with cast; casting actors; sourcing and renting theatres; handling publicity and more.
Laurel is also a dancer who loves most styles of dance and music. Her father once taught for the Arthur Murray School of Dance and got Laurel hooked on ballroom and partner dancing at a young age. From there, jazz, contemporary and street dancing styles opened her up to different types of dance. She has surrounded herself with musicians (including her husband) because music is integral to her life.
