Adelina Anthony

Adelina Anthony (she/they) is originally from the Payaya Territories (San Antonio, Tejas). She is a critically acclaimed and award-winning Two Spirit Xicana lesbian actor, writer, director, producer, and teaching artist. Along with Marisa Becerra, they co-founded AdeRisa Productions in 2012 as vehicle to support talent from their communities in front of and behind the camera. The themes in their works address colonization, feminism(s), ancestral memorias, gender, health, race & ethnicity, im/migration, sexuality, land & environment & issues affecting our Two Spirit/ queer/ lesbian/ gay/ bisexual/ transgender / womyn of color / and people of color communities. They live and work on Tongva and Chumash lands. Since 2001, Adelina has been booked on the national university circuit to present solo shows, stand-up comedy, poetry readings, workshops, classroom visits, and graduation keynotes.
