On January 27th 2003, she was involved in a traffic accident, when the
taxi she was sitting in was hit by another car, forcing it off the road
into a divide. Anya suffered severe facial injuries when the
windscreens shattered, leading to inaccurate reports that she would be
scarred for life. She since recovered, although still has some
scarring.
