Philip Langridge(1939-2010)

Among his many roles were The Fisherman in Stravinsky's "Le Rossignol"; Teapot in Ravel's "L'Enfant et les Sortileges"; Jupiter in Handel's oratorio "Semele"; Don Basilio in "Le Nozze di Figaro"; Loge in "Das Rheingold"; Ferrando in "Cosi fan tutte"; Aron in Schoenberg's "Moses und Aron"; the title roles in "Peter Grimes" and "Idomeneo"; and Mark in Tippett's "The Midsummer Marriage".
