FLETC (pronounced "fletsi") is often referred to in regard to trainees. Formed on July 1, 1970, the word is an acronym for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. NCIS, along with 104 other federal agencies, train recruits at FLETC-Glynco, just north of downtown Brunswick, Georgia right by the airport. The FBI and DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) have their own Training Academy and is co-located at the Quantico Marine Corp Base. The FBI started their Academy on July 29, 1935, and DEA shared facilities with the FBI when it was formed in 1973. The DEA formed a training center of their own on April 28, 1999 where their agents receive all their training, prior to that prospective DEA agents did initial training at FLETC and upon graduation became probationary agents who then received additional training at the Academy to become special agents. Though as of 2024 prospective FBI agents still go through initial FLETC training to be probationary agents, then receive more advanced training at the Academy in Quantico to become special agents.

It's about time. Fantastic episode! It's Gibbs as we know him

Being a avid NCIS fan, it took a while this season to get a hold of Origins. My wife always enjoyed episodes of NCIS and watched them together. Unfortunately, I lost her on the first couple episodes. This episode shall bring her back. I really thought this was the best episode all season and glad to see it starting to bloom. Austin Stowell has made Mark Harmon visable in everything he does. He even has the facial expressions down pat. Close your eyes and you can hear Mark Harmon. Great job. I do not want to spoil anything but the writers have truly blended the NCIS tones we have been accustomed to completely within the story.
