One of the most beloved rivalries in history is reignited when Jerry moves into New York City’s finest hotel on the eve of “the wedding of the century,” forcing the event’s desperate planner to hire Tom to get rid of him, in director Tim Story’s “Tom & Jerry.” The ensuing cat and mouse battle threatens to destroy her career, the wedding and possibly the hotel itself. Curiosidades
The film features archive recordings of William Hanna, who did all of the original screeches, yells, gasps, shrieks, howls, and screams for Tom and Jerry heard in the original cartoons from 1942 to 1957. It's the same technique used previously in Carlitos y Snoopy: La película de Peanuts (2015), where all the Snoopy's screeches, yells, gasps, shrieks, howls, and screams were the made by Bill Melendez in the original cartoons from 1965 to 2000 (including movies, TV series and TV specials).

Tom and Jerry is part of our childhood memories, their sweet rivalry is what I expected from this movie and the movie serves its purpose. It's a nice attempt to bring the classic cartoon show to a live action movie, the movie has its funny elements and classic cat and mouse chase scenes. Also they tried to show an emotional angle between Tom and Jerry which I didn't mind but was a bit cringy. In conclusion I'd say if you loved the original show, just go for it.... You wouldn't be disappointed. And don't pay attention to 1 star reviewreviews
