A "Hallmark Hall of Fame" production first filmed and shown on NBC on May 6, 1956. The play was filmed again in 1960 with the same director and many of the same cast, with the addition of Helen Hayes and Charles Bickford to the cast.

I want to see this again!

If my memory serves me correctly this is a story about a baby left on the doorstep of a Convent. The nuns raise the child.

I wrote to Hallmark and they said that the new company does not have access to the older movies. I believe that the films MUST be somewhere and I sincerely hope that they are recovered. This was a charming episode and I'm sure that folks would enjoy seeing it if it were made available.

If I remember correctly the baby was a girl who led a reasonably normal life, in Circle Of Friends, by Maeve Binchy, this concept was explored and one of the girls was also raised by nuns-I always wondered if Maeve Binchy, as a child in Ireland, saw this movie and was inspired by the idea.
