- CuriosidadesThe screenwriter Simo Ojanen created the character when he started inventing bedtime stories for his children. First he told them about Herman the Clown and then he wrote the stories down afterwards from memory.
- Versiones alternativasSome of the original episodes were slightly shortened in Finland in the late 1990s for showing in shorter time slots in children's TV show "Pikku Kakkonen". The episodes were not shortened due the slow editing pace like it was first reported in the media. Editing was done with the permission of the original creator Simo Ojanen.
