Reseña destacada
Following the international success of the "That's Entertainment" films, producer Manzano went to his personal vaults and picked musical clips from several films to do his own musical movie anthology. Since Mr. Manzano was no Louis B. Meyer, he only had access to a limited number of films, in short only those he had the rights to, consequently you get a very narrow selection of Spain's greatest musicals.
To serve as introduction for each clip, several Spanish TV comedians were engaged and their collaborations can only be described as dismal, slowing up the documentary and creating an over all boring effect. As far as the film clips, some of them can be enjoyed due to the talent of the artist featured and some of the greatest are indeed represented. Particularly memorable is Sara Montiel's rendition of the old Spanish standard "Maria de la O" taken from her film "Cinco Almohadas Para Una Noche." By the way, Miss Montiel sued Manzano for including that clip into this lousy compilation. Since we have no basis to sue Mr. Manzano legally, I suggest we all keep as far away as possible from this bomb.
