Curiosidades
George Lucas, upon seeing the film, was so impressed he declared that the movie was really "lost footage from Star Wars". He would later hire writer Steven Melching to be one of the head writers of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) and writer/director Kevin Rubio would also co-write one episode of the series. Rubio would also created the humorous parody Star Wars comic series Tag and Bink, about two screwups who stumble their way through the events of the saga, which proved so popular among fans that the duo were originally going to appear in Han Solo: Una historia de Star Wars (2018) but their scene did not make the final cut.

Captain Jyanix Bach: I joined the Empire about six years ago. I remember as a kid, you know, watching the holographic images and being excited about the new direction that the galaxy was taking. So, when I was old enough, I went down to the local recruitment center, you know, and signed up. And I've been here at Tattooine ever since. Most people would call this the ass end of space, but I like the small town feeling you get around here. I mean, we know everybody. Everybody. And I feel like I really make a difference here.

Brilliant! Better than Phantom Menace!

Wow, I was so impressed after seeing this I had to comment on it. Not only is it a funny idea (Stormtrooper COPS show) but the film is rather well done. There are well produced scenes, with flying speed-crafts and AT-STs. I was impressed with the aesthetic aspect... it's just like watching the world of the real Star Wars. In fact, to me, it was WAY more entertaining than Phantom Menace. I hope they do another Troops episode... And I hope more of these little underground (but very well done) Star Wars movies keep comin! If you can't find this movie in your local theatre or video store (OK, you won't) search for it with KAZAA and you'll find it no problem. Enjoy.
