Debbie Does Hawaii

This movie was originally entitled Vicki in 1974. I know this because I saw it in the theaters back in 1974. You also can tell this wasn't filmed in 1979. It was filmed in 8mm. Rather odd for 1979, since the majority of releases were now being shot in 35mm. Vicki is supposed to be a hawaiian word and not anyone's name in the original release. This film is pieced together quite differently than the original release. There is bad editing in this movie which I believe was done purposely to prevent the viewer from discovering that the lead character is in fact, not named Debbie at all. The name Debbie is never mentioned once in this entire movie. There are parts of the original edited out of this release and the opening scene starts backwards. It's crazy! Not to mention the girl used a puppet to masturbate her boyfriend in the original but that was completely removed from this film. The other reviewer mentions a rape during the sex ritual scene but there isn't any rape at all. I don't know what he was watching but the orgy scene was just a fraternity initiation party. Since this movie was released in 1979, a year after Debbie Does Dallas, it seems rather odd that the main character is an 18 year old virgin. After doing Dallas, you would think she'd be a girl with a reputation by now. LOL. In my opinion, re-releasing this film as a sequel to DDD was just a means of making money off a very bad movie from the earlier 70s.
