The movie is based on the literary work of Anurupa Devi. The movie deals with the spiritual bonding between husband and wife. The wife played by Sandhyarani was very heart-touching, mainly the portrayal of a devotee of Srikrishna then a devoted wife. She had to enact the pang of separation within herself as well as indifferent wife before society. She succeeded in accomplishing both without being loud. Her enactment is well-measured, yet draws emotions of the viewers. The husband played by Uttam Kumar is a mellow character with high moral and educational standards. The duo enriches further a well crafted movie. Besides, a side character played by Asitbaran is also awesome with joyful and comic enactment. The music is also appropriate. The sanskrit chanting within the film is another great feature.
Though the values depicted in the film seems to be outdated in the modern era, the film would convince you to reinforce the moral values of a marriage - Such a powerful movie it is.
