- CuriosidadesThis is one of about three dozen British films picked up by CBS in 1949 for USA television presentation; its initial telecast took place in New York City Saturday 22 October 1949 on WCBS (Channel 2). Since this title had never been shown theatrically in the USA, this was also its USA premiere. It first aired in Los Angeles Wednesday 15 February 1950 on KLAC (Channel 13), and in Boston 9 April 1950 on WNAC (Channel 7).
Reseña destacada
The title is very misleading as it suggests a domestic subject, when it's actually about greyhound racing.
Attractively shot largely on location, and padded out with a rather raw portrayal of the spiv economy in the form of Peter Bull & Desmond Tester (who eleven years earlier had both been in Hitchcock's 'Sabotage') as a shady pair attempting to muscle in on father & daughter Turners' action.
