THe movie went into production the night of 8 December 1941, one day after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. 20th Century-Fox head Darryl Zanuck wanted his studio to be the first to deal with the Japanese sneak attack on film. Within a matter of 3 months, the film was in theaters where it became a box office smash, much to the dismay of critics.

Good Movie

I viewed this movie for the first time today and thought it was a fast moving little thriller.The acting was very good by Lynn Bari and Preston Foster. All of the supporting actors also did an admirable job.
