What's the point?

This movie started out like a comedy that seemed like it wanted to say something, but ended up falling entirely flat, nullifying all the social commentary and meaning it was building towards with a flat ending.

It did have some interesting characters and dynamics, but there wasn't any true character developement-only some development in the group dynamic. But even that fell flat as the ending turned its focus in an entirely different direction.

It had a lot of funny moments at the start, and the movie should really have stuck with that. But what started out as a comedy with some social commentary that could have been interesting ended out like more of a confusing cliceé that seemed more like a bad thriller.
