This is not a film adaptation of The Thousand and One Nights, but an original story inspired by the joint work of the composer David Tukhmanov and the poet Yuriy Entin, who issued the songs' collection "Oriental" a few years ago. Gorlenko made a very beautiful film. His style is markedly different from the classic hand-drawn animation, with original colors.
