The film was certified U (universal) by the Central Board of Film Certification, with some alterations which are as follows:
A fiction disclaimer and voice over was added in Hindi, along with the sentence: "The actual footages shown in the film are merely intended to give desired effect to the narrative of the film." Deletion accounted to 1.22 minutes and replacement, 0.05 minutes.
The dialogue "China ke padosi...chupi saadhi hui hai." was deleted. Deletion accounted to 0.03 minutes.
The scenes of corporal punishment in school were deleted and some portions were replaced with visuals of men. Deletion accounted to 0.21 minutes and replacement, 0.13 minutes.
The word "Padma award" was replaced with "Sarva award" wherever it occurred.

Yet another case of brilliant plot, horrible execution

I will say I am very amused by the reviews of the movie. People I feel got swept away by the plot more than the movie, which is my point exactly in writing this review.

Pokhran was a great event to make a movie on. It showed how India became a nuclear power in arms and stood elite among the few nuclear powers. What the movie doesn't do is do justice with the horrible screen play. The plot established itself so haphazardly with Krishna's character, his motivation & his dream. Why no else but himself couldnt have done it nobody knows.

The overacting, to plot holes & the most absurd and horrendouz background score. Leave it to bollywood to push the limits of bad cinema.

After Madras cafe, which was brilliant in its own way, this was such a letdown.

My only positive take away is that Indians got to know about this historical event.
