In Singapore, the film initially received a NC-16 rating due to scenes of drug use. The distributors whom were unsatisfied with this rating and chose to re-edit the film in order to obtain the more lucrative PG-13 rating; the cuts implemented to the film removed a scene depicting a man snorting some crystalline drugs and sight of the protagonist being injected on his arm with some drugs.
