Super Lovers starts when Haru (16) meets his little adoptive brother Ren (8). They spend a summer together, getting to know each other. After that, they're separated and meet again after a few years. During the anime, both guys are growing up, but this is especially noticeable with Ren, who also starts developing feelings for Haru. I'll admit, at first I was creeped out by this fact, not because of the age difference (we all know couples with even larger age gap), not because of the fact that they were adoptive brothers either (if there's no blood relation I'm ok with it). But, what bothered me was the fact that Ren looked so child-like, even after he "grew up." If he could've looked more mature, like his classmates, it would've been much better. Thankfully, there is no romantic relationship between the guys before Ren is about 15-16 years old, and in the second season, he does seem to grow up a bit more. In the end, I did end up liking the anime, but I would really prefer if they made it when Ren reached 18, instead of 16. Other than that, it's actually quite fun.
