The film was inspired after Jason W. Schaver watched Mark Duplass' SXSW 2015 Keynote speech and said to do a $3 short film with your friends and write it using things you have available to you. Jason's mom owns a flower shop and once joked it was a slow month because no one was getting married or dying. Jason thought this would make an interesting short film.
