Tim Firtion completed the first draft of the screenplay in January 2012 and spent the better part of the year in pre-production. Filming dates (thirteen shooting days in total) were mostly scattered throughout the late summer and fall of 2012, with post-production lasting until the summer of 2013.

Tim Firtion is credited with "produced, shot, and cut by" instead of a traditional "editor" and "director of photography" credit.
