I do rarely watch any Malayalam movie except for those which starred Mohanlal and Mammootty for their powerful and versatile acting skills. Among South Indian movies, Telugu and Tamil movies are major audience pulling types for their kind of 'masala' filmmaking.
However, while watching random trailers on YouTube I came across the trailer of Style, which I found to be worth watching. Then I went ahead of watching it online.
One thing I should admire is the cool and no-nonsense style of Unni Mukundan with an heroic physique, suitable for making the story entertaining accompanied by a beautiful and gorgeous actress Priya Kandwal. Both of them make an exceptionally lovely chemistry.
At first the story convinces to make us feel like Style is a romantic movie, until the villain pops us in the middle of the romances between the lovebirds. It is also hard to expect the protagonist to fulfill what we want in a mix of action and romance, but ultimately he does it with panache. Tovino Thomas, as Edgar, exceptionally performs well in the role of the main antagonist with a positive vibe.
But, what keeps the movie at bay is the heroic and charismatic appearance of the lead hero Unni Mukundan as a cool car-mechanic Tom with his masochistic well built physique, which sometimes reminds us to possibly replace Salman Khan in Bollywood if provided chances. I would rate Unni Mukundan above Salman Khan and John Abraham for his better acting skill than the other two. He could superlatively perform well even in romantic and family scenes without any doubt.
I also endlessly wonder and wonder for why on earth beautiful and gorgeous actress Priya (or Priyanka) Kandwal has only 2 movies on her kit !! Such an angelic and charming actress should be given more role offers to entertain the audiences.
Overall, I rate Style 8/10 for its excellent fresh environment, entertaining story, brilliant casting and appropriate title i.e, Style.
Don't miss this movie, if you like to refresh your mind !!
