Svetlana Samarina was born and raised in Russia, Moscow. She started her career in film industry when she was 17. She's worked for Russian film productions, including the biggest one Bazelevs, owned by world-famous director and producer Timur Bekmambetov on the most successful projects "Six Degrees of Celebration" ("Yolki") and "Kiss them all" ("Gorko"). In 2010 Svetlana got a huge experience worked on "The Darkest Hour", produced by Summit Entertainment and Bazelevs. After that Svetlana went to Los Angeles, where she completed Producing Program in New York Film Academy in 2012. In 2014 she worked for NBC Olympics on Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. Started from 2014 Svetlana develops the projects as an independent producer, working with potentially talented filmmakers.
