Michael Milano is the Emmy nominated director & producer of the hit Netflix documentary, 137 Shots, which the NYTimes called, "a riveting, in-depth exploration of the psychological divide which has split this country in two."
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Milano went on to teach elementary school in New Orleans before earning his masters degree in journalism at UC Berkeley in 2015. Since then, Milano's work has been funded by the Sundance Institute, the Ford Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation and the NYTimes, as well as Netflix and HBO. Milano's production company, Make It Plain ®, is based in Ojai, CA, and specializes in premium, feature documentary films.
