Vinoo Choliparambil won the National Award for Best Debut Director for his first short film Vitthal. Vitthal also won prizes at Dubai International Film Festival, MIFF and was selected at Busan, Montreal, Tampere, IFFI and other international film festivals. Vinoo has also worked as an Editor for film promos, feature films and documentaries. He served as a jury member twice for International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in the Non-Feature section.
