Since 2020, O'Hare's poetry has appeared in dozens of international magazines such as Rattle, Causeway, Stand, Cyphers and as a featured news piece in The Irish News. He was shortlisted for the 2021 poetry prize at Belfast Book Festival, shortlisted by Billy Collins for the Fish Publishing Prize, and in 2024 he was named runner-up in the 52nd Patrick Kavanagh Poetry Award for an unpublished first collection.
