An actor and producer known for smooth intellect and heavy emotional draw, Dylan Hobbs's most widely recognized role may be Cyrus in Joker Rising (2013). Hobbs recently starred in the Western feature The Bounty Men (2022), playing Daniel King, a retired militia man turned bounty man in this post-civil war film. In the Western film Skull Rock (2018), his portrayal of Boone Blackpool, an epileptic rancher set in 1881, helped the film be chosen to screen at the Independent Filmmakers Showcase in Los Angeles, as well as the short film corner of the Cannes Film Festival. Hobbs recently starred in and executive produced The Clause, in which he portrays Danny Helm, a hard-edged assassin for hire.
Dylan Hobbs was born in Evansville, Indiana, and was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. Hobbs attended Purdue University earning a B.A. majoring in health & fitness and theater. After college, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. Hobbs's earliest credited roles include the daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives, before appearing in the Lifetime film Killer Reality (2013), All I Want for Christmas (2013), and A Christmas Reunion (2015). His portrayal of Sergeant Phillips in She Was (2013), helped earn multiple festival awards including Best Acting.
Hobbs has been a SAG-AFTRA member since 2011 and a graduate of the 2nd City Conservatory (2017) in Hollywood. He is a veteran of comedy improvisation having studied with the late great Bernie Feldman. In addition to acting and comedy improvisation, Hobbs is a certified fitness coach and enjoys jiu-jitsu, baseball, boxing, yoga, working out, and shooting pool.
Hobbs's portrayal of Detective Curtis in Where Birds Don't Fly (2017), helped establish him as a leading man. He went on to play Richard Vernum, a racist alt-right podcast king to the Aryan nation in Things Eternal (2018.) Hobbs then went on to reprise his role of the Joker in The Clown Prince (2019).
