Johann Smith(III)

Johann Smith is a writer of, among others, stage plays, screenplays, lyrics, and academic material. In 2018 his adaptation of Die reuk van Appels received the prestigious KykNet Fiësta Award. As co-founder, director and writer for the project Deurnis, Johann was part of a team that received the Blue Fiësta for groundbreaking work in theatre (2018) and received an ATKV Woordveertjie award. He is also a five time recipients of the ATKV Award for the best new stage play script for teenagers (2008, 2012, 2016, and 2018).
