Álvaro Robles(III)

Álvaro Robles is a Spanish director and screenwriter. As a screenwriter, he worked on animated series such as "SuperThings" (Filmax, Tandem Films) or "Titan Tofu" (Uniko, Ábano). As a director, he is developing several personal projects, among them, the adult-oriented animated feature film "A veces silencio" (Silence Sometimes), selected by the Spanish Film Academy's Residency Programme and awarded at the Berlinale co-production market with the VFF Talent Highlight Award. He also has co-written and co-directed the animated short film "Umbrellas" (2020), which has received several recognition awards. These include, among others, being nominated for Best Animated Short Film at the Goya Awards 2022, being selected by over 150 national and international festivals (such as Clermont Ferrand, Uppsala or Festival du Nouveau Cinéma de Montreal), and receiving numerous awards and nominations at events like the Quirino Awards or the Fugaz Awards.
