Call it "hallmark horror"

This was a fun indie with substance and a thin layer of political commentary.

I loved how it was more dramatic and tongue in cheek then just weird, gross and full of cheap scares like most studio horror films and their sequels. This movie is like a parody of classic teen horror movies. I guess it was trying to be like the original script for the first Slumber Party Massacre movie.

The characters were memorable and the cast was good but the effects weren't great, that may have been on purpose though I'm not sure.

Overall, kinda brilliant with a nonchalant sense of humor but if you are expecting something scary you'll be disappointed.
