One of simple stories offering not revelation or serious reflection kicks. Only ordinary reality crumbs.

Two men, landscaping co-workers. Their phone conversations, their short talk dominated by memories from early years and the sketch of friendship and confidence and attitude about job and their boss.

It reminds a South story, with familiar traits and accents and attitudes being only a fragment from two lives in which be far by home creates a sort of comradery and the phone calls are substitute to relation with others , more or less beloved.

This form of nice honesty is the virtue of Maintenance , not being more than fair remind of ordinary every day realities in wise manner.
