An interesting character study

The movie is slow to start and doesn't really find its way for a while, but once things start to develop, it is a very satisfying portrait of a family. All three characters deal with the need for acceptance by others and intimacy in their own way, and it's an honest and uncomfortable look at the things we do to gain those things.
