Im a shark week person so I'll watch almost any shark movie. Maybe 20 minutes in I thought, oh okay, this will be like a Sharknado. I was wrong. Making a comedic B-movie would have been a better choice.
The sound editing was so off it was painful. The soundtrack was decent but the volume and cuts of music/songs were out of balance.
The dialogue was awkward, lengthy, and just bad. Get to the point right? It's as if the actors weren't given any context to what they were shooting, they were just given words to say without the appropriate meaning behind it. The footage of the shark and attacks didn't even match up to the actors. It was just weird, hard for me to explain it.
More money should have been spent on the quality of the movie but I assume they were broke after acquiring Shane West and Trace Adkins? That's how it felt to me. Or the direction and production is young and inexperienced. It has to be one of the two.
